DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSESSMENTS
Domestic Violence Assessments, using the Domestic Violence Inventory (DVI), are completed for individuals, social services, court orders, and corrections agents to examine the need for an intervention or therapy to address specific concerns. Personality testing and additional inventories are administered, and recommendations are made for services when appropriate.
COGNITIVE STATUS ASSESSMENTS
Cognitive Status Assessments examine an individual's strengths and deficits by utilizing intelligence testing, level of independent functioning examination, memory testing, and through testing of academic abilities. These assessments are used by agencies to identify an individual's qualification for additional services. They are also used by parents to examine the strengths and areas which need more attention with their children. At times, individuals have requested this testing to examine possible cognitive deterioration.
HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS / SEXUALITY EDUCATION CLASSES
Healthy Relationship / Sexuality Education Class offers the knowledge needed to effectively address a variety of topics and issues related to healthy sexuality. This 22 week course provides information that is applicable to living a healthier lifestyle. Classes are available for both juvenile and adult individuals.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS
Psychological Assessments are completed to examine a person's mental health status. Personality testing, depression inventories, and other specific instruments are administered as appropriate for the referral question. Psychological Assessments are used to examine basic mental health issues, as well as appropriateness for employment in specific areas (example: law enforcement, appropriateness to parent, clarify interpersonal deficits or underlying mental illness, and to simply make recommendations to improve the quality of life.)
PSYCHOSEXUAL ASSESSMENTS
Psychosexual Assessments are completed to assess concerning sexual behavior and to develop effective solutions which address the problematic sexual behavior. While many of the Psychosexual Assessments completed at CORE are not court ordered, our assessments meet all of the criteria requested by the Department of Corrections and are highly regarded in court. Personality testing and risk assessments (as appropriate) are included, along with an examination of sexual history and a detailed description of diagnostic issues.
